Opening Day - Carnival 2010

A wonderful opening day for Carnival with a nice crowd basking in the sun watching the free entertainments.

We had Miss Torbay and her Lady in Waiting sing a duet - a first for Carnival.  The adult Town Crier Competition followed later by the Mini Town Crier and Princess competitions for 5-9 year olds.

Carnival rocked to a finish today with live music from The Gunz and Slider.

First day of Carnival was a huge success

An amazingly exciting start to Carnival with a huge crowd enjoying the Palm FM 80s Party.


Rogue Minogue did a Kylie set, Hazell Deane sang some of her hits and the crowd danced along to the Gary King live 80s show which was broadcast around the country.  We even had an appearance by the Krankies!

Miss Torbay and her feathered friends

Miss Torbay made one of her first appointments at Barton School (Torquay) recently and made friends with Ditto - the European Eagle Owl, a resident at Torbay Falconers.

Very excited as just signed off the final version of the Torbay Carnival 2010 programme.
