Information for Locals in Paignton and Preston
The Carnival Procession is on Wednesday 27th July so there may be road closures between 7pm and 10pm, if you are located on or near the procession route. Please see the Procession Route map. We apologise for any inconvenience but hope you will be able to support the many children, families and charities that are asking for your spare change on the night!
Information for Booked Charity Stalls
As Carnival is an external event, we offer a pitch of 3M x 3M and you are welcome to erect any sort of stand, display, gazebo etc. If you need extra space, it won't be a problem. Unfortunately we do not have tables and chairs for hire, it is a case of bringing what you need with you. There will be refreshments available at various places on the Green. Please be setup on your stand for the 10am opening on Tuesday 26th July and you are welcome to stay as long as you like but we would prefer you to not leave before 4pm. The Arena events run until 4.30 and start again at 7pm - please see our website events list for what is also happening that day. Events Listing. You can park temporarily on Paignton Green to unload but there is no permanent parking on the Green. Please observe the safety regulations of max 5MPH and hazard lights. We can reserve you a discounted parking ticket for the local multi storey if you wish. Please contact us before the event. If you have any more questions, please contact us on the details above.

Information for Carnival Procession entrants
If you have submitted an entry form as a float or pedestrian at Carnival 2011 you will have been sent your entry number already. Please bring this with you on the evening of the Procession - Wednesday 27th July - and display it clearly. We would expect you to have already referrred to the terms and conditions / health and safety rules which were contained in the application form. See a copy for reference (Application Form).
We welcome the entrants to Paignton Green to be ready for judging from 6.45pm. When you arrive on the Green, please look for your Procession Entry reference, e.g A-J and form a line behind the marked post. There will be a stand for you to Register your Attendance and to sign for the number of Collecting Tins you need. Don't forget, as a charity, what you raise in those collecting tins, will be yours to keep!
The prize giving will be before the procession leaves at 7.45pm and the route will last up to 3 hours returning to Paignton Green at the end. Please see the Procession Route. If you have any more questions, please contact us on the details above.
